Weather at Big Brother House
Week 7 - Day 1 (Friday) Aug 17
All righty right. What do we have to talk about tonight? Well, off the 'grapevines' we figure out that there was a Food Comp today. (We should see this Sunday Night). We gather that Amber, Jameka and Jen are on Slop. Also the HOH Ceremony was held. Amber and Jameka are on the Block. I think I detect a little rebellion in Dani towards Daddy Dick's wishes to evict Jen. I could be wrong however. Either that or the plan is to backdoor Jen if it goes that way ... that's probably the alternative plan. Dick has been a bit snippy towards Jen (now that he feels secure in doing so). Nothing major, just back to the snide comment or two. Eric is having a heart to heart with Amber (who has taken Dustbunny's eviction quite well actually). Why Eric feels this need to (always) talk things out to the last infinitesimal detail is beyond me.. apparently it's actually good strategy ...Talk 'Em To Death is the next BB Tactic, lol. What's odd is Eric being America's Stooge it's all
kinda ... wtf? I mean NONE of his votes have been HIS, ya know? They are Ours. So, it's gotta be a bit whacky to hear him go on and on KNOWING that no matter what it's NOT HIS VOTE... it's, well, it's like an FBI Snitch (in Time saves 9). Anyway... not much else to report ... Jameka in the Hammock feeling very, very bummed out... God's not on her side lately it seems. Jess tries to console her, but you know Jam is thinking "You F*cking Liar!" (mmm hmmm). Jam even told Amber, in the Hammock earlier, that she would vote for Dick over Jess if they were the last 2 (!!!) She then explained it's because Jess lied to her. Even though Jess wasn't required to break a tie (and thus, technically, didn't do anything) ... Jam realizes that this play on Dustbin was orchestrated via Jess's HOH influence. To a degree that's true, especially in regards to how Jen voted off Dustin. Zach wanted Dusty out and worked HARD to make that happen (he was more the Hidden Hand than anyone in my opinion - think about that conversation with Jess in the backyard (well, if you have SHO TOO After Dark you know what I'm talking about).
BooYah! Let's move on.
Speaking of Boo Yahs... I made a couple of 'Forum Signature Banners' (for JokerUpdates mainly).
Heeeere's Jessica::
And heeere's Daniele:
And heeeere's Dustbunny!
And heeeere's Dick!
HEEERE'S TEAM DONATO!
And Heeere's JenBot:
And Heeere's Mr. Zach:
I hope to get some others done possibly all the remaining HG's
Not really much else, more Eric Angst. Can we bear it?
Week 7 - Day 2 (Saturday)
Much like the Heat Wave that has parked it's ass overhead, so has Big Brother settled into a RUT. The only news to report is that the POV was held today and Daniele won it. She will probably use it to backdoor Jen, but she might possibly keep things as they are. She will probably take down Amber (don't ask me why, I don't understand it either). She was all pouty last night and Dick was riled up due to BB asking Dani in the DR 'How does it feel to not get a letter from your boyfriend'. Folks, no matter how much you think Daniele is a big baby (I am of like mind here on THAT)... this was clearly over the line on BB's part. In fact, the damage to Daniele that may result if they portray her in a negative manner (as BB would clearly love to do, this showmance stuff being a rating bonanza ). Dani saying how her 'Life is ruined' and Her Pop, Dick, being unable to dissuade her otherwise may in fact turn out to be true. But I doubt it will hit her as hard as she thinks. This stuff is pretty lightweight afterall. No one that's remotely sane takes any of it seriously. It Is A Game After All Is Said And Done! There will be some flush of publicity here and there, but like all things on TV instantly forgotten. What I would be worrying about Dani is what your REAL life is going to be like, with or without BB Fame. You don't seem to have a plan for your own life, ya know? But you're better off for being on the show... that's for sure. So dry the tears sister and strut your stuff!
Like I said... a rut. Oh yeah, Dani and Amber won a "night out on the town" during the competition today. Not known by anyone where and when yet. After Hours tonight must be on autopilot. Instead of showing us the Girls (Jen, Jessica) in the Hot Tub which we can clearly hear from the Hammock Camera we are being forced to watch Amber and Jameka telling their obviously delusional views of the world. Grrr. We also see Dani and Zach talking about life in the HOH. Nothing happening. R U T. Things are pretty much locked in until Thursday (the Next Eviction) with some news yet to come on how Dani uses the POV. We knew it was going to get a bit routine once the Earthquake Eviction of Dustin occurred. That was seismic for the house (hmm, maybe an old fashioned California Earthquake to shake up the HG's, lol... I'm KIDDING!) Once Dustin was out the strategies became pretty well written in stone until it gets to the F4 (That's Big Brother Speak for 'Final 4'). Ignorance is Strength. We do get fascinating glimpses into the HG's 'real world' at times. For instance Zach is regaling Dani with tales of Gators all over the place (on Cars and all) in Florida. Uhm, not REALLY, Zach. But oook. Unfortunately we don't have a lot to work with this season, personality wise. Unless you counts Dick's Eccentricity. I don't think of any of the House Guests as Great Conversationalists is what I'm getting at. Typical US Young Adult Attitudes for the most part. VACANCY.
Week 7 - Day 3 (Sunday)
We got our Sunday BB Fix on CBS tonight. Got to see the "previously on BB8" again (pretty much a recap of Thursday's Recap). Great seeing Dustin's Face of Doom again as he realized he was skunked (haha).
Poor Amber, she has nobody! Dick's Victory DR (Diary Room) was pretty cool. Of course, if you've been reading my little rambles you know all this in quite a bit of detail, yup yup. Still, seeing things that we just get bits and pieces of, especially the Comps because they are 'Blue Screened FOTH' when they occur, so even those with Feeds don't see the Games (and a few other things). We get to hear whatever the guests talk about them later (and thus put together who won the Comps, etc - giving you, our lucky readers, juicy SPOILERS you KNOW you need! As things stand now there are 8 in the house (they replaced the Big Table with the little (normal) sized one. This had the added effect of putting an end to Beer Pong (possibly). Speaking of Beer Pong, we got to see the Food Competition which was a 'Giant' Beer Pong/Toga Party game (Soccer Balls, Big Barrels). Two teams faced off, first to get a ball in all barrels (cup) got normal food, losers go on slop. Middle Barrel was raised some and represented a FEAST (even for those on slop). Red Team won (Dick, Eric, Jessica, Zach). And a FEAST was also won (maybe 2?) Again, the competition deviated from the Alice in Wonderland Theme. I guess it's a Cheshire Cat thing (go figure).
We got to see Dani's Second HOH Gifts/Pics. The Notorious Nick Note (Letter). Eric rants on it in the DR, ha ha. 1 5 3 (BB finger code for I love you, or something). Amber held up better than expected, but did turn on the faucets a little. The Show tonight did poke a lot of fun at Amber's uhm, Lack of Depth. Ok, she's dumb as a rock. And that was fun to see. What's superficial mean? What does outed mean? (boing). Suballiance?
Dani puts Amber and Jameka up (we knew that). The expected strategy is for Daniele (who won POV, which we will see TUESDAY) is to put up Jen in a backdoor move. The Fearsome Foursome (Dick/Daniele/Eric/Jessica) are expected to ruthlessly vote out the others over the coming weeks (which makes it a bit of a drought as far as twists/surprises go). Zach's place in the house is fairly critical. Will he be there when if comes down to the Final 5? If so, will he side with D&D or E&J? My bets on D&D, so he will be instrumental in getting out either Eric or Jessica (probably Eric). But anything can happen in the Big Brother House (and this Season that is CERTAINLY True!) Never have we had so many backdoors (with Jen's coming up soon it will be ... 5? I've lost count). What does backdoor mean? (yes, that's an Amberism).
Eric cross dressed for America. Shiver. Their team lost out in Beer Pong. We, the audience, lost is what I meant to say.
It was fun seeing the recap of Dick going thru the caricature of Amber's Casino Waitress job ... 'Cigars, Cigarettes, Cocktails' is priceless!
Tonight's After Dark is around an hour away... not expecting much to report... but will dutifully do so should such occur!
Week 7 - Day 4 (Monday)
As expected Dani backdoored Jen. They had a little chit-chat just before Dani and Amber were called off to go on their 'special trip' (to who knows where ???).
THIS JUST IN: JEN HAS GONE PSYCHO! SHE HID HER STUFF, TOOK DICK'S 4 CARTONS OF CIGS AND SMASHED THEM/POURED BLEACH ON THEM. SHE IS IN THE DIARY ROOM AS I WRITE THIS (I THINK). SHE ALSO WAS TALKING OF GOING AHEAD AND EATING WHILE ON SLOP (DON'T THINK SHE DID). SHE IS LOOKING TO 'DOR' (DROPPED ON REQUEST) OR 'VE' (VOLUNTARY EVICTION). SHE WAS READING THE BB RULES BOOK EARLIER AND COMMENTED THAT WOULD 'GET HER OUT' AND AMERICA WOULD THEN "VOTE FOR HER" (SHE DOESN'T WANT TO GO INTO SEQUESTER HOUSE BEING HER MAIN COMPLAINT - WASTE OF HER TIME... KNOWING SHE'S ABOUT TO BE VOTED OUT). THIS SHOULD LOOK REAL GOOD COME TUESDAY THURSDAY! STILL UNCLEAR IF SHE HAS LEFT THE HOUSE (LAST SEEN ENTERING THE DIARY ROOM). APPARENTLY DICK HAS NOT FIGURED OUT HIS SMOKES ARE TRASHED EITHER. AFTER DARK COMING ON IN 4 MINUTES!!!
Ok, Jen is still here. She and Evel are arguing ... or rather Dick is giving her grief. Blowjobs are being mentioned. Apparently she was talked out of a walkout. Should be interesting to see how she handles things (having aroused Demon Dick's Anger, it may be rather tricky!) I think it's come out that she messed up his smokes. Yup. Jen just asked how long Dick's known... 10 minutes. Dick tells her that they (the cigs) were returned to him (3 cartons) and Dick took her clothes and put them in HOH. And He has the Key (that Dani left).
Jen just came out with a Turkey Burger, Cottage Cheese and an Apple (note's America's Snitch: Eric). She eats on the burger. She starts crying in anger saying she specifically asked when she came on BB if she was allowed to destroy cigarettes. She tells Big Brother that if they can lie to her, she can eat (She's on Slop). Waiting for the 'Jen, please come to the Diary Room' ... Jameka, ever thoughtful goes gets Jen a napkin to dry her tears (earlier she told her she shouldn't eat ... it would disappoint her fans...and Jen, you do have fans says Jam. Dick is in his room (protecting his stuff). Nothing from BB on her eating.
JEN AND DICK ARE AT IT AGAIN! DICK CAME BACK OUT AND TOLD HER TO GO AWAY, LIGHTS UP. JEN TELLS HIM NOT TO SMOKE AROUND HER. HE BLOWS SMOKE IN HER FACE. THEY HAVE SOME TUSSLES AND HE KEEPS TELLING HER SHE'S GOING TO GET BURNED!
*** OMG! EVEN AFTER DARK IS IN Please Wait Mode! (Blue Screen) CUT TO SHOWTIME COMMERCIALS. WE'RE BACK. DICK IS TELLING HER OFF SOME MORE.
she isn't backing down, but isn't as sharp in her comebacks (but to be honest, she's a tough girl and can take whatever he dishes out). Well, the Volcano has blown folks, we are just waiting for the Lava to hit the floor.
Week 7 - Day 5 (Tuesday)
No big news today. After yesterday's fireworks, or JenWorks as the case may be, there's been very little news (which is par for the course this time of week). There was a change of the Penalty Nom on Jen to an Auto Vote to Evict by BB (!) This in response to the realization that the Penalty Nom could actually harm the other players that aren't in an alliance or are on the block. Theoretically the HG's could throw the comp and give it to Amber in a very weakened position, resulting in Jen going no matter what and Amber not able to compete the following week (having been HOH). BB MGT must have had a meeting on this today and decided that instead Jen will get an extra Vote by BB to evict. Thus the vote 'should' go 6-0 instead of 5-0 to evict Jen (assuming that America does the 'right' thing for Eric!) Dani and Amber won a trip the Big Apple to be contestants on Power of 10 (which was what the Joker Forum predicted would be the prize! They deduced it from 1) CBS loves cross-promotion 2) The Last POV (Harley's) was a percentage estimation game). Well, Dani and Amber are still out of the house as I write this. They will have a LOT to talk about tomorrow I'm sure... and so will we, Hamster Fans, and so will we.
Week 7 - Day 6 (Wednesday)
Well folks I had a real sucky day. Washing machine conked out last night, leaking water all over the hall carpet. Grr. Had to go get a new washer today. Grumble. Just catching up on the Hamsters now. Not much of REAL Excitement. In fact I started out today thinking - hey, we'll have the Veto today and the new HOH and... then I realized it's Wednesday, not Thursday. Yup, add that to the list of bummers I got today. What we did get, however, was a Jenathon of Epic Proportions! Jen deciding to swim laps in the pool 440 times (because Big Brother has said on several occassions that 440 laps in the pool is a mile. Some on the forums went bananas over that thinking Deep Thinker Jen had cracked a Big Brother Clue and was about to get some special prize (Jen looking around the house for her clothes (that Dick had up in HOH but was forced by Dani to take out of HOH after much gnashing of teeth). Well, that was fun. And even funnier was Jen's Wardrobe Malfunction Moment! Yup, it was quite an eyeful (sort of). Here's the YouTube on it:
And that pretty much wrapped up the entertainment section of Big Brother's Today as the Week That Was winds down. It will be remembered as Jen's Meltdown Week for the most part. I guess she took a page out of Evel Dick's Playbook: Quote "If I'm going out, I'm going out with a Bang!" Unquote. Jen, we hardly knew ya! Stay tuned for TOMORROW'S THRILLING LIVE VOTE AND HOH COMPETITION YA'LL!
`Have some wine,' the March Hare said in an encouraging tone.
Alice looked all round the table, but there was nothing on it but tea. `I don't see any wine,' she remarked.
`There isn't any,' said the March Hare.
`Then it wasn't very civil of you to offer it,' said Alice angrily.
`It wasn't very civil of you to sit down without being invited,' said the March Hare.
`I didn't know it was your table,' said Alice; `it's laid for a great many more than three.'
Week 7 - Day 7 (Thursday)
Tonight was, of course, The Big Night. Or Rather the JenBig Night. It was ALL About Jen (except the small little bit about Dani and Amber's Trip to go see Power of 10, which we don't get the results of till next Tuesday when it airs on the Power of 10 show. But back to Jen, cause it was certainly a LOT of coverage of Jen tonight! There wasn't any major surprises, it was the nuisances that were so 'sweet' tonight. Little things. And sharing those little things in Joker Chat. This is what makes the addiction really 'worth it'. Almost palpably excited as show time nears. Sweaty palmed as you hammer out quick blurbs to the Peanut Gallery of Jokers while the Show rolls to it's foregone conclusion (and, sad to say, reading Jen Fan's having their own brand of Meltdown while it was happening). Jen made history tonight. The Jen Rule of Slop was established (Penalty Vote by Big Brother for failure to comply). Jen was first to be voted out with an 'extra vote' (6-0). She was valiant to the end. Her talk with Julie was Classic JenSpeak. Totally, Like. Really. I'm sooo over it. Eric went a bit over the top as Jen went for the Door, saying something to the effect 'You may be happy to be going, but believe me when I tell you... everyone in the house is happier to see you go' or words to that effect. The HOH competition was memorable because Jen got the privilege of Hitting the Big Red Easy Button whenever an HG answered the trivia question wrong, causing the HG to get Dunked. Amazingly Jen didn't mess up (she did seem to go for the Button a bit early each time however!) Jessica won her second HOH and it is what it is. Period. End of Story. ShoToo After Dark was Burgers from In n Out. Lots of comradery at Jen's expense. Lots! Dick in particular was super happy about the outcome except he didn't win HOH, but his F4 Group did, so no worries... or is there? muhahahaha! Tune in tomorrow, same time, same channel.
Oh yeah, here's a good interview with Executive Producer Allison Grodner
`Well, I shan't go, at any rate,' said Alice: `besides, that's not a regular rule: you invented it just now.'
`It's the oldest rule in the book,' said the King.
`Then it ought to be Number One,' said Alice.
