Today we were served the Army Picture IDs of Two of the Missing Soldiers.  We received the remains of the third earlier last week.  Beyond the sadness that we all feel for this horrendous act; we must, I believe, transcend this violence by turning this propaganda of the Jihadists back upon itself.  With the families permission I humbly submit the following response:

We should buy billboard space in every major city in America.  We will put on those billboards this:

Yes, it's a 'Got Milk?' spinoff.  More than that is the direct confrontation of the bloody savages intent to terrorize and propagandize with our answer.  That answer is whatever you, the person that sees this 'billboard' make of it.  It serves as The New Yellow Ribbon for this War on Terror. Perhaps it will remind you, if you're liberal, that we are fighting in Iraq when Al Qaida is our true enemy.  Perhaps it will remind you, if you're conservative, that we are fighting for our country, for world democracy.  For Liberty.  Whatever your view, this Billboard of The Two will inspire discussion of this most serious issue of our time.  How do we effectively 'Answer' Terrorism?  And, in some small measure, we take from these barbarians some, perhaps all, of their 'victory'.  We remind them, as well as ourselves,  of their crimes against humanity.

If you feel that this is a Noble Cause then I ask only one thing of you.

If you have 'influential people' that can help make it a reality, please have them contact me (assuming they feel this is a worthy cause as well).

Again, this concept depends on the consent of these two boys' families.  It may be too much for them to accept, and I fully understand if they decline.

I think that Justice demands at least this much of us.  We should honor them, we should respond to this barbarity with an Act of Conscience.  For I fully believe that in so doing we hold up the Ugly Face of Terror to the Mirror of Society and in so doing proclaim to the world that Terror shall not, must not, win.
